Job Summary Homeland Talent Solutions is partnering with an established pharmaceutical manufacturing organization to hire a Manufacturing Supervisor – Formulation for its Spokane, WA manufacturing operation. The Manufacturing Supervisor will provide frontline leadership within a cGMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, overseeing formulation operations, production execution, employee performance, quality compliance, safety, and continuous improvement.
The ideal Manufacturing Supervisor brings hands-on manufacturing leadership experience, maintains a strong presence on the production floor, develops and coaches’ employees, manages production priorities, and ensures safe, efficient, and compliant execution.
Responsibilities
Maintain a strong presence on the production floor while reinforcing manufacturing standards, safety expectations, and operational discipline
Oversee production readiness, including staffing, materials, equipment status, and documentation accuracy
Monitor production performance, staffing levels, and operational metrics to ensure production targets are achieved
Own functional KPIs and communicate performance, challenges, and improvement plans to leadership
Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements, SOPs, aseptic standards, environmental monitoring requirements, and safety procedures
Review and approve manufacturing documentation, including batch records and logbooks
Lead and support deviation investigations, root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives
Coach and develop frontline employees through regular feedback, performance discussions, training, and development planning
Support employee onboarding, cross-training, and ongoing skill development
Promote accountability while fostering a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented work environment
Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Engineering, and Validation teams to resolve production and compliance issues
Communicate production risks, operational performance, and escalation items to leadership in a timely manner
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree is not required
At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, operations, logistics, or another regulated environment, preferred
Demonstrated leadership experience as a supervisor, team lead, trainer, coordinator, or through another formal or informal leadership role, preferred
Strong communication, interpersonal, team-building, and problem-solving skills, preferred
Ability to lead frontline employees, establish clear expectations, and drive accountability in a production environment, preferred
Strong commitment to cGMP compliance, safety, quality, and continuous improvement, preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with manufacturing or quality management systems, preferred
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CMO/CDMO, medical device, food/beverage, food science, or other regulated manufacturing environments, preferred
Experience within a GMP, FDA-regulated, cleanroom, aseptic, or highly controlled production environment, preferred
Formulation, compounding, batching, solution preparation, or related process-manufacturing experience, preferred
Experience with deviations, investigations, CAPA, training compliance, or quality systems, preferred
Familiarity with SAP, TrackWise, MasterControl, or comparable ERP/QMS platforms, preferred
Experience leading shift activities, production employees, onboarding, training, or employee development, preferred
Additional Information Schedule: Friday through Sunday and every other Thursday, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM. The role requires the ability to work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment, stand or sit for extended periods, and work around moderate noise, cleaning chemicals, and latex. Candidates outside the Spokane area who are open to relocation will be considered.
Benefits This role offers a competitive pay of $46.98–$55.27/hour, including a 15% shift differential. A sign-on incentive may also be available depending on the candidate and circumstances.
