Job Summary Homeland Talent Solutions is partnering with an established pharmaceutical manufacturing organization to hire a Manufacturing Supervisor – Filling for its Spokane, WA manufacturing operation.
The Manufacturing Supervisor will provide frontline leadership within an aseptic pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, overseeing filling operations, production execution, employee performance, quality compliance, safety, and continuous improvement.
The ideal Manufacturing Supervisor brings hands-on manufacturing leadership experience and a strong presence on the production floor. This role is responsible for developing and supporting employees, managing daily production priorities, maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards, and driving efficient, reliable manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day manufacturing activities across assigned filling operations
Ensure production activities are safe, compliant, efficient, and on schedule
Maintain a strong presence on the production floor while reinforcing manufacturing standards, aseptic practices, safety expectations, and operational discipline
Oversee production readiness, including staffing, materials, equipment, and required documentation
Monitor production performance, staffing levels, and key operational metrics to meet production targets
Own functional KPIs and communicate performance, challenges, and improvement plans to leadership
Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements, SOPs, aseptic standards, environmental monitoring requirements, and safety procedures
Review and approve manufacturing documentation, including batch records and logbooks
Lead and support deviation investigations, root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives
Coach and develop frontline employees through feedback, performance discussions, training, and development planning
Support employee onboarding, cross-training, and ongoing skill development
Promote accountability while fostering a positive, collaborative, team-oriented work environment
Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Engineering, and Validation to resolve production and compliance issues
Communicate production risks, operational performance, and escalation items to leadership
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree is not required
Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, operations, logistics, or another regulated environment
Demonstrated leadership experience as a supervisor, team lead, trainer, coordinator, or in a similar formal or informal leadership role
Strong communication, team-building, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead frontline employees, promote accountability, and support a positive production environment
Strong commitment to cGMP compliance, safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with manufacturing or quality systems
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CMO/CDMO, medical device, food/beverage, food science, or other regulated manufacturing, preferred
Experience in a GMP, FDA-regulated, aseptic, cleanroom, or highly controlled production environment, preferred
Experience with filling, fill-finish, sterile/aseptic manufacturing, packaging, or related production operations, preferred
Experience with deviations, investigations, CAPA, training compliance, or quality systems, preferred
Familiarity with SAP, TrackWise, MasterControl, or comparable ERP/QMS platforms, preferred
Experience leading shifts, production employees, onboarding, training, or employee development, preferred
Candidates with experience appropriate for Supervisor II or Supervisor III consideration are encouraged to apply, preferred
Additional Information Schedule: Friday through Sunday and every other Thursday, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM. The role requires the ability to work in a cleanroom environment, sit or stand for extended periods, and work around moderate noise, cleaning chemicals, and latex.
Benefits This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $40.85–$48.06/hour, plus a 15% shift differential, based on experience and qualifications.
