Job Summary Homeland Talent Solutions is partnering with an established healthcare organization in Hickory, NC, to expand its Adult Behavioral Health team. The CNA – Behavioral Health will join a collaborative clinical environment focused on providing safe, compassionate, patient-centered care.
The CNA – Behavioral Health provides hands-on support to behavioral health patients and works closely with nurses and other members of the care team to support patients’ daily needs and overall well-being. This is a great opportunity for a CNA who enjoys meaningful patient interaction and is interested in building valuable experience in behavioral health.

Responsibilities
Assist patients with activities of daily living, personal care, comfort, and mobility needs
Observe patients and promptly communicate changes in behavior, condition, or needs to the nursing team
Support patient safety and help maintain a structured, respectful, therapeutic environment
Provide age- and condition-appropriate care while respecting patient dignity and privacy
Document patient-care activities and observations accurately and timely
Collaborate with nurses and other members of the behavioral health team to support individualized care
Requirements
Current North Carolina Nurse Aide I / CNA I status
Completion of an approved Nurse Aide program
BLS certification or ability to obtain within the employer's required timeframe
Strong observation, communication, and teamwork skills
Compassionate, patient-centered approach and interest in behavioral health
Previous behavioral health experience is helpful, but strong direct patient-care experience is also valued
Additional Information
Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts (7p-7a) and every other weekend
Schedules are prepared 6 weeks in advance, giving employees visibility into upcoming shifts. There is no routine on-call requirement. If the unit staffs down because of patient census, an employee may be placed on call for that scheduled shift.
Benefits This role offers competitive pay of $18.00-$22.00/hour, based on relevant experience, plus a shift differential of $.90 week nights/$1.90 weekend nights. A comprehensive employee benefits package is also available to eligible employees.
