Job Summary
Homeland Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading healthcare organization in Hickory, NC to hire a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time, day-shift opportunity in Behavioral Health.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who enjoys hands-on patient care and wants to join a collaborative behavioral health team. Previous behavioral health experience is not required—LPNs with strong direct patient-care experience who are interested in transitioning into behavioral health are encouraged to apply.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will work closely with Registered Nurses, providers, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, compassionate, and individualized patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care within the LPN scope of practice under the direction of a Registered Nurse
• Collect patient information, monitor status, and document nursing observations to support assessment and treatment
• Assist with developing and implementing individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with established protocols and scope of practice
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate clinical team
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated patient care
• Assist with patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and care coordination
• Provide patient and family education, support, and guidance as appropriate
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and promote a safe, organized care environment
• Participate in quality improvement and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Current North Carolina Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Strong clinical judgment, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced patient-care environment
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
• Previous behavioral health or psychiatric experience is a plus, but not required

Additional Information
This is a full-time day-shift position with a requirement to work every 4th weekend. Schedules are prepared 6 weeks in advance, providing clear visibility into upcoming shifts. There is no regular on-call requirement, although employees may occasionally be placed on call for a scheduled shift if staffing needs change due to patient census.

Benefits
This Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) opportunity offers $22.20–$29.97/hour, based on experience, plus a $7,500 sign-on bonus.
