End-of-Year (EOY) Processing Specialist

Job Summary
Homeland Talent Solutions has partnered with a leading healthcare technology organization to identify a temporary End-of-Year (EOY) Processing Specialist to support its payroll, accounts payable (AP), and Affordable Care Act (ACA) year-end processing activities.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment where accuracy and customer communication are critical. The position will play an important role in coordinating year-end activities, collecting and tracking customer information, and supporting the processing and distribution of W-2s, 1099s, and 1095-Cs.

The workload will be concentrated around the year-end processing cycle, with the assignment expected to run approximately September through March.

Responsibilities
  • Review and update the annual EOY Guide, Important Dates, and customer contact lists
  • Communicate directly with customers to confirm contact information, provide processing schedules, and distribute instructions for submitting counts, forms, and other required information
  • Provide clear and timely communication regarding year-end deadlines, requirements, and outstanding items
  • Track and manage customer responses, counts, orders, and related information within designated Excel workbooks
  • Assist with preparing and distributing quotes, order forms, and selection forms
  • Support customers with SFTP file transfers and assist with troubleshooting when needed
  • Coordinate the timely ordering and distribution of supplies and software, including Yearli Desktop and Greatland forms
  • Monitor incoming files and authorization forms and proactively follow up with customers regarding outstanding information
  • Prepare and process PDFs for W-2s and 1095s and assist with uploading documents to MyPay
  • Identify and escalate technical issues to Product and Engineering teams when necessary
  • Provide customer support throughout the January peak-processing period, utilizing established EOY resources and escalating unresolved issues appropriately
  • Collaborate with Paypro regarding timelines, challenges, and outstanding issues
  • Assist with year-end wrap-up activities, including invoicing coordination and final reporting


Requirements
  • Previous experience in payroll, accounts payable, accounting, tax processing, or similar financial/administrative operations preferred
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence in communicating directly with customers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Experience with SFTP/secure file transfers and data management is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple internal departments
  • Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment with increased activity during peak year-end processing periods


Additional Information
This role offers a rate of $20.00/hour and is a 100% remote, temporary/contract opportunity, with the primary workload expected to run from September through March in support of the annual year-end processing cycle.
