Job Summary Homeland Talent Solutions has partnered with a well-established acute care hospital in the Hickory, NC area to recruit a full-time Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech) for its weekend night team. This Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech) will perform general diagnostic imaging, primarily supporting the Emergency Department and inpatient units, with occasional OR coverage for urgent and emergent cases. The team welcomes both experienced technologists and new graduates or early-career X-Ray Techs. Responsibilities
Perform general diagnostic X-ray examinations throughout the hospital
Provide stationary, portable, and bedside imaging services
Support imaging needs in the Emergency Department and inpatient units
Provide occasional OR imaging coverage for urgent and emergent cases
Review physician orders and obtain relevant patient histories
Properly position patients and follow radiation safety protocols
Operate radiologic equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images
Evaluate images for technical quality and completeness
Work independently and use sound judgment during overnight coverage
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the clinical team
Requirements
Associate Degree in Radiologic Science or an equivalent program
ARRT registration as a Radiologic Technologist or eligibility for registration
Current BLS certification or ability to obtain certification shortly after hire
Knowledge and demonstrated skills in general diagnostic X-ray imaging
Hospital-based imaging experience preferred, but not required for qualified candidates
Ability and willingness to perform ED, inpatient, portable, bedside, and occasional OR imaging
Ability to work independently during portions of the overnight schedule
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach
Willingness to learn, grow, and contribute as part of a collaborative imaging team
Additional Information New graduates are encouraged to apply. The hospital has an established onboarding process designed to prepare technologists for the department and its workflows. Schedule: This is a full-time, three-day weekend schedule:
Saturday: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Sunday: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Monday: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Benefits This position offers a comprehensive benefits package and $8,000 sign on bonus. The hourly rate will be based on experience and ranges from $33.20-$40.97/hour (Saturday/Sunday) and $25.20 - $32.97/hour (Monday).
