Job Summary Homeland Talent Solutions has partnered with a leading regional healthcare organization to identify a Physical Therapist for its outpatient rehabilitation team in Hickory, North Carolina. The Physical Therapist will work with a primarily orthopedic outpatient population in a patient-centered environment focused on individualized treatment, clinical autonomy, and one-on-one care.

The ideal Physical Therapist will bring strong orthopedic experience and the ability to independently evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and deliver effective care for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. Responsibilities
Evaluate outpatient physical therapy patients and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide evidence-based care for orthopedic, musculoskeletal, post-operative, and related conditions
Deliver primarily one-on-one care through approximately 45–60 minute treatment sessions
Apply manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, functional training, and other appropriate techniques
Collaborate with orthopedic providers, surgeons, PTAs, and other rehabilitation team members
Adjust treatment plans based on patient progress, response to treatment, functional goals, and clinical outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Educate patients on treatment plans, home exercise programs, injury prevention, and long-term recovery
Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday hospital coverage rotations
Complete required orientation and maintain competency to provide inpatient/acute therapy coverage when assigned
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
Current North Carolina Physical Therapist license or ability to obtain licensure prior to start
BLS certification or ability to obtain within the required timeframe
Strong orthopedic assessment and treatment skills
Ability to independently manage an outpatient caseload
Strong communication and patient engagement skills
Willingness to participate in weekend and holiday hospital coverage rotations
Experience collaborating with orthopedic surgeons and referral partners, preferred
Additional Information Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Schedule may vary based on patient and unit needs and includes rotating weekend and holiday coverage.
Benefits This position offers an hourly rate of $38.88–$44.00, based on experience and qualifications, with new graduates starting at $38.88/hour. Final compensation will be determined based on applicable experience and internal equity. A $10,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits package are also offered.
