Job Summary Homeland Talent Solutions is partnering with a growing acute-care healthcare organization in Sierra Vista, Arizona to identify a Director of Finance who will serve as a hands-on financial partner to the CFO and senior leadership team. This is a highly visible opportunity for a hospital finance professional who combines a strong accounting foundation with operational finance, analytics, forecasting, and the ability to turn complex financial information into actionable insight.

Responsibilities
Serve as a key financial partner to the CFO and senior leadership team
Lead forecasting and financial projections across revenue, expense, volume, staffing, and other operational drivers
Support month-end close, including statistical validation, balance-sheet review, reconciliations, journal activity, and financial variance analysis
Lead and support labor-productivity analysis and help department leaders understand the financial impact of staffing and operational decisions
Analyze hospital performance across revenue, expenses, volume, labor, productivity, and key operational metrics
Develop customized financial and operational reports that provide leadership with timely, actionable insight
Extract and reconcile data across multiple systems and identify financial and operational trends, risks, and opportunities
Partner with clinical and administrative leaders to connect operational activity with financial performance
Support hospital revenue-cycle performance, including analysis of gross revenue, contractual allowances, deductions, and net revenue
Assist with annual budgeting, including volume, staffing, physician services, EBITDA reconciliation, capital planning, and other financial planning activities
Partner with centralized finance and business-services teams to research and resolve accounting, transactional, supplier, payment, fixed-asset, and balance-sheet matters
Help senior leaders navigate financial processes and understand the financial implications of operational decisions
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related discipline
Meaningful finance, accounting, decision-support, or operational financial experience within an acute-care hospital, health system, or directly comparable healthcare environment
Strong understanding of hospital finance, including revenue, expenses, budgeting, forecasting, volume, labor productivity, and operational performance
Working knowledge of month-end close, balance-sheet review, reconciliations, and the accounting cycle
Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract, reconcile, interpret, and communicate financial and operational data
Ability to operate independently and deliver accurate work within a fast-paced environment
Comfortable remaining hands-on with detailed financial work while also partnering with senior and operational leadership
Strong communication and relationship-building skills across finance, clinical, operational, and executive teams
Willingness to work on site in Sierra Vista, Arizona
Current or previous experience as a Director of Finance, Assistant Director of Finance, Assistant Controller, Finance Manager, Decision Support leader, or Senior Financial Analyst with broad hospital finance responsibilities, preferred
Experience with Oracle or another enterprise ERP platform, preferred
Experience with Cerner, Affinity, or comparable healthcare financial, patient-accounting, or EMR systems, preferred
Experience with hospital labor productivity, statistics, revenue cycle, and customized operational reporting, preferred
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline, preferred
Benefits The role offers a competitive base salary of $135,000–$145,000 plus 10% annual bonus opportunity, comprehensive benefits, and meaningful long-term career-growth potential.
