Job Summary Homeland has partnered with an established professional services organization to hire a Senior AI Developer / AI Solutions Lead to help lead the next phase of its enterprise AI transformation. This is a hands-on development role for an experienced Microsoft Azure and AI professional who can work closely with business users to understand processes, identify opportunities for automation, and design and build production-ready solutions.
The organization has established a strong foundation with Microsoft Copilot and is expanding its use of Azure AI Foundry, AI agents, agentic workflows, and intelligent process automation. The ideal candidate is a builder first—a strong Azure and software engineering professional who understands both the capabilities and limitations of AI. This Senior AI Developer / AI Solutions Lead will evaluate business needs, determine when AI is the right solution versus traditional automation or other Azure technologies, and then develop and implement the most effective technical approach.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, deploy, and support enterprise AI and automation solutions across the Microsoft Azure ecosystem
Build AI applications, agents, and intelligent workflows using Azure AI Foundry
Develop solutions utilizing Azure OpenAI and other Microsoft AI technologies
Design and implement agentic AI workflows that automate multi-step business processes
Work directly with business users to understand existing processes, pain points, and opportunities for improvement
Translate business needs into practical technical solutions and personally take those solutions from concept through production
Determine whether problems are best solved through AI, traditional automation, existing Azure capabilities, or other technologies
Build integrations, APIs, reusable services, and workflow automation using technologies such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Power Automate
Evaluate potential projects based on technical feasibility, development effort, scalability, and measurable business value
Partner with business stakeholders, IT, Development, Security, Data, and an established AI governance committee to deliver secure, scalable solutions
Requirements
5+ years of enterprise software development, cloud engineering, or related technical experience, including hands-on experience developing AI-enabled solutions
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
Practical development experience using Azure AI Foundry
Demonstrated experience building enterprise AI or Generative AI applications
Experience developing AI agents, agentic workflows, or AI-enabled process automation
Strong software development, API, and enterprise integration experience
Experience taking solutions beyond proof-of-concept into production environments
Ability to work directly with non-technical business users to understand processes and translate business challenges into technical solutions
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
Ability to work on-site in the Atlanta office based on project and business needs
Additional Information Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without current or future employer sponsorship. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
Benefits This role offers a competitive salary of $145,000–$155,000, based on experience and qualifications, plus eligibility for an annual merit-based bonus program and a comprehensive benefits package. This is a hybrid position based in Atlanta, GA. On-site expectations will vary based on project requirements and business needs.
