Job Summary
Homeland Talent Solutions is partnering with a growing, community-focused healthcare system that is part of one of the nation's largest healthcare networks to identify an experienced Emergency Services Supervisor. The Emergency Services Supervisor provides clinical and operational leadership for a high-acuity Emergency Department, supporting nursing teams, physicians, and interdisciplinary partners to ensure exceptional patient care, efficient department operations, and compliance with regulatory standards.

This is an outstanding opportunity to lead within a Level III Trauma Center, Level I Cardiac Center, and Level II Stroke Center featuring a 25-bed Emergency Department with dedicated trauma bays and a collaborative multidisciplinary team. The Emergency Services Supervisor will play a key role in strengthening emergency care delivery, mentoring frontline caregivers, and driving operational excellence in a fast-paced environment where every day brings the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day clinical and operational leadership, oversight, and support for Emergency Department nursing staff
  • Coordinate daily staffing assignments and ensure appropriate clinical coverage based on patient volumes, acuity levels, and departmental needs
  • Serve as a visible clinical resource, mentor, coach, and leader to support nursing excellence and professional growth
  • Coordinate staff orientation, onboarding, competency validation, and ongoing education to promote clinical readiness and high-quality care delivery
  • Assist with performance evaluations, coaching, employee development, and corrective action processes as needed
  • Lead and support quality improvement initiatives while monitoring patient outcomes, safety metrics, and departmental performance
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, HIPAA requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations
  • Address and resolve patient, family, physician, and staff concerns while promoting a positive patient experience and exceptional service
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient flow, improve operational efficiency, and optimize clinical outcomes
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental policies, procedures, and evidence-based best practices
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, patient safety, and continuous improvement within the Emergency Department
  • Provide direct patient care support as needed to maintain department operations and ensure quality service delivery

Requirements
  • Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure through the Nurse Licensure Compact
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered with relevant clinical leadership experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
  • Demonstrated Emergency Department nursing experience within an acute care hospital setting
  • Strong leadership, communication, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Ability to effectively lead and prioritize in a fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Department environment
  • Three to five years of Emergency Department nursing experience, preferred
  • Previous leadership experience as a Charge Nurse, Clinical Coordinator, Assistant Nurse Manager, Supervisor, or similar clinical leadership role, preferred
  • Previous Emergency Department Supervisor or Nurse Manager experience, preferred
  • Experience working within a Trauma Center environment, preferred
  • Experience supporting quality improvement initiatives, departmental operations, and patient care excellence, preferred
  • Demonstrated passion for mentoring, coaching, and developing frontline nursing teams, preferred
