Job Summary
Homeland Talent Solutions is partnering with a growing, community-focused healthcare system that is part of one of the nation's largest healthcare networks to identify an experienced Critical Care Supervisor.

The Critical Care Supervisor provides day-to-day clinical and operational leadership for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU), ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. Working closely with nursing leadership, the Critical Care Supervisor serves as a clinical resource and frontline leader, supporting nursing staff, driving quality improvement initiatives, overseeing daily department operations, and fostering a collaborative culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day clinical and operational leadership for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU), ensuring safe, high-quality patient care
  • Lead, support, and mentor ICU and PCU nursing staff while fostering a collaborative, patient-centered culture
  • Serve as a clinical resource and coach, promoting evidence-based nursing practice and professional development
  • Coordinate staff orientation, onboarding, competency assessments, continuing education, and ongoing clinical training
  • Assist with performance evaluations, coaching, employee engagement, and corrective action to support staff growth and accountability
  • Champion quality improvement initiatives by monitoring patient outcomes and implementing evidence-based best practices
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and patient safety guidelines
  • Address and resolve patient, family, physician, and staff concerns in a timely and professional manner to promote a positive care experience
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes, improve workflow, and enhance departmental performance
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental policies, procedures, and operational initiatives
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and clinical excellence while supporting organizational goals and nursing best practices

Requirements
  • Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure through the Nurse Licensure Compact
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Previous critical care nursing experience in an acute care setting
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within an ICU, PCU, or comparable high-acuity clinical environment
  • Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-acuity healthcare environment
  • Previous experience as a Supervisor, Charge Nurse, Assistant Nurse Manager, or Nurse Manager, preferred
  • Experience leading quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, preferred
  • Proven success mentoring, coaching, and developing nursing staff, preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering teamwork, employee engagement, and a culture of clinical excellence, preferred
