Job Summary Homeland Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization to identify an Operations Lead, Visual Inspection to support critical sterile manufacturing operations. The Operations Lead, Visual Inspection will serve as a hands-on technical expert within pharmaceutical manufacturing, focusing on Visual Inspection processes in a highly regulated environment.
This Operations Lead, Visual Inspection will troubleshoot inspection issues, optimize inspection performance, support continuous improvement initiatives, and act as a key technical resource across Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Engineering, and Technical Services. This role is best suited for candidates with deep, hands-on Visual Inspection experience in pharmaceutical drug manufacturing who want to remain technically engaged rather than move into broad people management. Former or current Visual Inspection Supervisors, Inspection Managers, Manufacturing Supervisors, or Operations Leads with strong inspection expertise are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
Serve as the Visual Inspection subject matter expert supporting manufacturing operations
Provide technical leadership for inspection-related manufacturing activities
Support both manual and automated Visual Inspection processes
Troubleshoot inspection processes, product quality issues, and operational performance challenges
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on inspection effectiveness and efficiency
Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Engineering, and Technical Services teams
Analyze Visual Inspection data to identify trends and opportunities to improve product quality and operational performance
Support investigations, including root cause analysis, deviation resolution, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs)
Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements, inspection standards, and applicable regulatory expectations
Support and assist in the implementation of process improvements and broader operational excellence initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline
Advanced degree in a related scientific or technical field (preferred)
5+ years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
Direct experience supporting Visual Inspection operations within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
Experience in sterile injectable manufacturing operations (preferred)
Prior experience as a Visual Inspection Supervisor or Inspection Manager (preferred)
Strong understanding of inspection processes, defect identification, and quality standards
Working knowledge of cGMP regulations and pharmaceutical quality systems
Experience with manual and/or automated Visual Inspection systems (preferred)
Experience supporting FDA, EMA, MHRA, or other regulatory inspections (preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Validation, and Technical Services
Continuous Improvement (Preferred)
Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement experience
Benefits This role offers a competitive annual salary range of $102,000–$163,000, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus of up to 10%. Our client also provides opportunities for career advancement, annual merit increases, and long-term professional growth.
