Job Summary Homeland Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization to identify an experienced Operations Lead to serve as a key technical expert supporting sterile filling and aseptic manufacturing operations. The Operations Lead will leverage deep fill/finish expertise to support manufacturing processes, troubleshoot complex production challenges, optimize process performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment.
This Operations Lead role is focused on technical leadership rather than direct people management, making it an excellent opportunity for experienced Filling Supervisors, Fill/Finish Managers, Aseptic Manufacturing Supervisors, or Manufacturing Managers who want to remain hands-on while expanding their influence across manufacturing operations.
The successful Operations Lead will collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Technical Services, and Validation teams to improve operational performance, ensure compliance, and support the production of life-saving therapies for patients worldwide.
Responsibilities
Serve as the technical subject matter expert for sterile filling and aseptic manufacturing operations
Provide technical leadership and support for fill/finish manufacturing processes and equipment
Troubleshoot process, equipment, and product performance issues to ensure manufacturing success
Support process optimization, scale-up, technology transfer, and operational improvement initiatives
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Engineering, and Technical Services teams to resolve technical challenges
Analyze manufacturing data and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and product quality
Support investigations, root cause analyses, deviation management, and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities
Ensure compliance with cGMP regulations, aseptic processing standards, and regulatory requirements
Assist with the implementation of process enhancements and operational excellence initiatives across filling operations
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline required
Advanced degree in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related discipline preferred
Minimum of 5 years of sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing experience required
Hands-on experience supporting aseptic filling or fill/finish operations required
Experience in sterile injectable manufacturing, aseptic processing, lyophilization, or fill/finish operations preferred
Prior experience as a Filling Supervisor, Aseptic Manufacturing Supervisor, or Fill/Finish Manager preferred
Strong understanding of sterile manufacturing processes and commercial pharmaceutical operations required
Demonstrated success troubleshooting filling process, equipment, and manufacturing issues required
Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement experience preferred
Knowledge of cGMP regulations, aseptic processing requirements, and pharmaceutical quality systems required
Experience supporting FDA, EMA, MHRA, or other regulatory inspections preferred
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills required
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities required
Additional Information 1st shift – Monday through Wednesday and every other Thursday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM PST.
Benefits This role offers a competitive salary range of $102,000–$163,000 with up to a 10% annual bonus, along with opportunities for career growth, merit increases, and long-term advancement.
