Job Summary Homeland Talent Solutions has partnered with a leading technology organization to identify a Lead Software Engineer who will provide technical leadership across strategic software initiatives focused on cloud architecture, AI-enabled product development, and next-generation software engineering practices. The Lead Software Engineer role combines hands-on software engineering with architecture, mentorship, and technical leadership responsibilities. Responsibilities Technical Leadership
Lead the design and development of enterprise-scale software solutions
Drive architecture decisions and technical strategy
Establish engineering standards and best practices
Provide mentorship and guidance to software engineers
Support technical planning and roadmap initiatives
Product & Platform Development
Build scalable cloud-native applications and services
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams
Support AI-enabled product initiatives and workflow automation efforts
Evaluate emerging technologies and engineering approaches
Contribute to long-term platform modernization efforts
Strategic Impact
Influence engineering direction across multiple initiatives
Partner with leadership teams on technical decision-making
Help improve development processes, tooling, and automation
Support adoption of modern AI-assisted engineering workflows
Requirements
7+ years of software engineering experience
Proven experience leading complex software initiatives
Strong architecture and system design experience
Full-stack development expertise
Experience building enterprise SaaS applications
Cloud platform experience
Strong communication and leadership skills
Demonstrated ownership and accountability
Preferred
Experience building AI-enabled applications, preferred
Experience integrating LLMs or AI services into software products, preferred
Experience working alongside Data Science or Machine Learning teams, preferred
Experience with microservices and distributed systems, preferred
Experience mentoring and developing engineers, preferred
Benefits This hybrid role offers a competitive annual salary of $150,000 - $170,300, annual bonus opportunities, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
