Job Summary Homeland Talent Solutions has partnered with a respected and growing healthcare system to hire a Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health for its inpatient behavioral health facility in Hickory, NC.

You'll work in a free-standing behavioral health campus with 81 beds, including dedicated detoxification services, while benefiting from strong physician and administrative support. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and identify individual care needs
Develop and implement appropriate nursing interventions based on patient conditions
Deliver safe, compassionate care tailored to each patient's age, diagnosis, and treatment plan
Administer medications accurately and monitor patient responses
Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough clinical documentation
Develop, update, and collaborate on interdisciplinary care plans
Complete quality improvement assessments and support performance initiatives
Partner with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
Promote a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment for patients and staff
Provide support and care for patients experiencing psychiatric, behavioral health, and substance use disorders
Requirements
Current and active RN license in the state of practice
One year of nursing experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
Previous experience in Behavioral Health, Psychiatric Nursing, Detox, Substance Abuse, Emergency Department, Critical Care, or Medical-Surgical nursing preferred
Experience caring for patients with mental health and/or substance use disorders is a plus
Strong communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm, professional, and adaptable in challenging situations
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred, but not required
Additional Information 6 week advanced scheduling, 12-hour shifts (days)
Benefits This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $32.34–$43.66 based on experience, plus weekend days shift differential pay and a $20,000 sign-on bonus.
