Job Summary
Homeland Talent Solutions has partnered with a large for-profit acute care hospital to identify a strong rehabilitation leader for a high-visibility Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation opportunity supporting a growing outpatient rehabilitation division within the organization. This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee and expand outpatient Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy services while driving operational efficiency, patient outcomes, staff engagement, and departmental growth within a collaborative hospital environment.

The Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation will provide operational, clinical, and strategic leadership oversight for the outpatient rehabilitation department while partnering closely with executive leadership, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care excellence, departmental performance, and future growth initiatives. The Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation will oversee outpatient rehabilitation services across multiple clinic locations with a strong orthopedic patient population, ensuring high-quality care delivery and operational success throughout the division.

The ideal candidate for the Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation role will bring progressive rehabilitation leadership experience, strong operational management skills, and a collaborative leadership style. The Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation will play a key role in supporting staff development, enhancing patient satisfaction, improving operational performance, and leading continued growth across the outpatient rehabilitation program.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership oversight for outpatient rehabilitation services across multiple therapy locations
  • Lead, mentor, and develop therapy staff, aides, and support personnel
  • Support productivity management, labor optimization, staffing efficiency, and departmental workflows
  • Partner closely with executive leadership on operational planning, budgeting, and departmental growth initiatives
  • Assist with financial oversight including budgeting, productivity metrics, labor management, billing awareness, and operational performance improvement
  • Foster a culture focused on accountability, teamwork, patient-centered care, and operational excellence
  • Support regulatory compliance, quality initiatives, and evidence-based clinical practices
  • Provide hands-on clinical support as needed within the department environment
  • Collaborate across outpatient therapy locations to ensure consistency in patient care delivery and operational standards
  • Support staff engagement within a unionized workforce environment and help navigate departmental transitions and change management initiatives
  • Participate in leadership meetings and organizational initiatives while maintaining visibility within the therapy department

Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology required
  • Current applicable clinical licensure required
  • Previous therapy leadership or rehabilitation management experience strongly preferred
  • Experience within outpatient rehabilitation environments preferred
  • Strong operational leadership, productivity management, and financial acumen required
  • Ability to lead within a multi-site outpatient environment preferred, although strong single-site leadership experience may also be considered
  • Previous experience within unionized environments or familiarity with collective bargaining environments preferred
  • Ability and willingness to remain clinically engaged and assist with patient care when needed
  • BLS certification required
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team development skills required
  • Washington State driver’s license required

Benefits
This opportunity offers a competitive annual salary range of $104,125-$145,766 based on experience, along with a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
