Job Summary
Homeland has partnered with an esteemed and growing healthcare system to hire an experienced and detail-oriented Electrophysiology (EP) Coordinator (RN) for a high-acuity cardiac program in Hickory, NC. This Electrophysiology (EP) Coordinator (RN) opportunity is ideal for a clinically strong EP nurse with leadership experience who is ready to take the next step into a more operational and coordination-focused role within an expanding electrophysiology service line.

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing electrophysiology (EP) team where the Electrophysiology (EP) Coordinator (RN) will play a key role in supporting daily operations, improving workflow efficiency, and helping drive the continued growth of the EP service line, including the addition of a second EP physician. The EP program supports a wide range of advanced cardiac rhythm management procedures, including:
  • Ablations (atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, SVT, ventricular tachycardia, and cryo-ablation)
  • Device implants, including pacemakers, ICDs, BiV devices, and Micra implants 
  • Loop recorder placements and Watchman procedures 

The Electrophysiology (EP) Coordinator (RN) will oversee daily EP lab operations, coordinate patient flow, and support staff training and development. This position serves as an important liaison between physicians, staff, and hospital leadership to ensure efficient scheduling, strong procedural throughput, and exceptional patient care outcomes.

This hands-on leadership role requires both strong clinical expertise in electrophysiology and the ability to manage workflows, mentor staff, and implement operational improvements in a fast-paced procedural environment. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and technologists in a high-acuity setting focused on advanced electrophysiology procedures and cardiac rhythm management. Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily electrophysiology (EP) lab workflow to ensure efficient operations and alignment with procedural schedules
  • Coordinate inpatient and outpatient procedure scheduling to maximize patient throughput and resource utilization
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and technologists to optimize case flow and reduce procedural delays
  • Support onboarding, orientation, precepting, and ongoing training of EP staff members
  • Assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining efficient operational processes within the EP lab
  • Monitor workflow performance and identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
  • Partner with leadership on supply management, resource planning, and cost-containment initiatives
  • Serve as a clinical and operational resource for staff during EP procedures as needed
  • Promote and maintain high standards of patient safety, quality care, and procedural excellence
  • Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on exceptional patient outcomes


Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or eligibility for a multistate compact license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior electrophysiology (EP) experience required
  • Previous experience in a procedural, cardiac, or critical care setting strongly preferred
  • Prior leadership, charge nurse, mentoring, or precepting experience preferred
  • Hands-on EP lab experience with advanced electrophysiology procedures
  • Experience supporting workflow coordination and day-to-day procedural operations preferred
  • Ability to work independently and confidently in a fast-paced procedural environment
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills with a patient-centered approach

Schedule
  • Day Shift: 7:00 am – 5:30 pm
  • No routine call requirement
  • Occasional need to stay late based on case volume and lab activity
  • Schedule may vary based on procedural flow and program needs
