Job Summary Homeland has partnered with a respected and growing healthcare system to hire a dedicated Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a pre-procedural cardiac unit in Hickory, NC. This Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, team-oriented environment and enjoys supporting cardiac patients in a lower-acuity setting.
As a Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse, you will join a collaborative and evolving unit focused on pre-procedural cardiac care. You’ll work alongside experienced nurses and clinical staff who prioritize teamwork, adaptability, and patient-centered care. In this Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse position, you will play a key role in preparing patients for upcoming cardiac procedures and ensuring they are clinically ready. You will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions, coordinating care, and supporting a smooth and efficient pre-procedural process, helping to deliver safe and effective outcomes for every patient.
Responsibilities
Provide care for medical-surgical patients, including telemetry monitoring as needed
Prepare patients for procedures, including cardiac catheterizations
Perform thorough patient assessments and implement appropriate care plans
Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to the care team
Ensure patients are properly prepared and ready for scheduled procedures
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient flow and care coordination
Accurately document patient care in a timely manner
Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards
Requirements
Current North Carolina RN license or active multistate (compact) license required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, but not required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred
Medical-surgical nursing experience required
Telemetry experience preferred, but not required
Additional Information
12-hour shifts
7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
3 shifts per week
Every other weekend required
