As a Registered Nurse (RN), Telemetry, you will join a collaborative, high-performing team within a busy cardiac unit known for its strong clinical support and teamwork. You’ll work alongside experienced nurses, physicians, and clinical staff who value adaptability, communication, and excellence in patient care. This role offers valuable exposure to a wide range of cardiac cases, including pre- and post-procedural care, all while benefiting from a lower nurse-to-patient ratio that supports both quality outcomes and efficient workflows.
In this Registered Nurse (RN), Telemetry role, you will play a vital part in delivering care to a high-acuity cardiac population. You’ll be responsible for continuously monitoring, assessing, and managing patients who require specialized cardiac care, ensuring timely interventions and exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care for telemetry patients, including pre- and post-procedural cardiac cases
Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Administer medications and titrate cardiac drips in accordance with protocols
Perform thorough patient assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventions
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless continuity of care
Accurately document patient care and maintain timely, detailed records
Prepare patients for cardiac procedures, including catheterization and surgery
Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards at all times
Requirements
Current North Carolina RN license or active multistate (compact) license required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, but not required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred; new graduates with relevant clinical experience will be considered
Prior experience in telemetry, cardiac care, or a high-acuity hospital setting required
Additional Information
12-hour shifts
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Three shifts per week
Every other weekend required
