Job Summary Homeland has partnered with an esteemed and vibrant healthcare system to hire a dedicated and detail-oriented Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Technologist for a high-acuity cardiac program in beautiful Hickory, NC. This Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Technologist role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced procedural environment and is passionate about supporting advanced cardiac rhythm procedures and delivering exceptional patient care.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Technologist to join a collaborative and growing electrophysiology program within a well-established cardiac service line. You’ll work alongside experienced physicians, nurses, and technologists in a setting that values teamwork, adaptability, and clinical excellence, while gaining exposure to complex EP procedures focused on efficiency, coordination, and high-quality patient outcomes.
In this role, you will support a variety of electrophysiology procedures, including diagnostic studies, ablations, and device implants, while assisting with patient preparation, maintaining procedural flow, and providing real-time support to physicians during cases. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively in a structured yet dynamic clinical environment.
Responsibilities
Assist physicians during electrophysiology procedures, including ablations and device implants
Prepare and position patients, ensuring safety and comfort throughout procedures
Maintain a sterile field and follow all procedural protocols
Operate and support EP lab equipment and monitoring systems
Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure efficient case flow and timely room turnover
Monitor patient status during procedures and communicate updates to the care team
Support patient education and assist with post-procedure transitions as needed
Advocate for patient safety and overall well-being throughout all phases of care
Requirements
Current ARRT or RCIS certification required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire
Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related program required (or equivalent experience)
Experience in an electrophysiology or cardiac catheterization lab, preferred
Strong interest in EP procedures with willingness to specialize, preferred
Backgrounds in Radiologic Technology (ARRT CI), RCIS, Certified Paramedic, or Surgical Technology considered a plus
Additional Information This is a day shift, procedural-based schedule with no routine call requirement, offering a consistent work-life balance. Occasional schedule variability may occur depending on case volume and the need for add-on procedures.
